Our Home gets Tu Tuf for it's own good

Tu Tuf is non-toxic vapor barrier.  We used it under our floorboards, too.  Applied with staples between insulation and interior, this stuff is all it claims to be.
Removal of our counter framing made installing the Tu Tuf easier.
Counter back in place

DK designed walls for the bathroom that allow max air flow through these escapes...
DK is in the bathroom, on the right of pic is where sink will be installed.

You can get Tu Tuf at the link below.  Dahliya also has carbon felt and bedding suitable for chemically sensitive canaries like me. The clear ridged Tu Tuf is waaay better than the white.

But DK made it work for one wall since we ran out of the clear.

Now we need to get our chimney installed while the weather is dry (though oh so cold) so we can Tu Tuf the ceiling.

  2. Daisy, what kind of insulation are you using? Is the tuff tuff being used instead of tyvek? How is the tuff tuff better than dennyfoil? You guys make it look so professional.

  3. tyvek, is a brand of housewrap, I think, that goes outside, under the siding. I'm not sure tu tuf is better than denny foil, but it's great stuff and maybe...tougher :)
